| The Phoenix Jr. has been utilized by American and coalition forces for combat identification in theatres of operation such as Kosovo, Bosnia, Somalia, Afghanistan and Iraq. The Beacon has many uses in combat and other operations for marking personnel, vehicles, pathways or locations. It incorporates a flash rate that was specified to prevent confusion with small arms fire. |

The Phoenix 1.5 (NSN: 5855-01-396-8734) is a programmable infrared signaling beacon designed for use as a personnel or vehicle marker during night operations. The operator programs a six second user defined flash pattern via the two programming pins. Miniature indicator lights within the device will flash the pattern as it is being recorded by the user to confirm the code being stored.

The system is comprised of up to ten beacons that broadcast a sequenced flash pattern that can be used to indicate direction or an approach lighting pattern The sequenced flash pattern is easily distinguished by the viewer as a directive and coordinated signal. |

| Poseidon Clip Mount (MVB-902801) |
| The Poseidon Clip Mount (902801) provides both a watertight and durable mounting system for the complete Phoenix and Pegasus series of Infrared beacons. All deployed versions of Phoenix and Pegasus can use the Poseidon Clip Mount. The mounting clip can be attached to PALS webbing, belts, or a uniform by using the supplied locking spring clips or can be secured with bolts to rigid surfaces such as helmets and vehicles. |
