ROANOKE COUNTY, VA -- May 7, 2011 - While the Navy SEAL team that eliminated Osama bin Laden did it during a night time raid, Roanoke County's ITT declined to comment on if the SEALs, or the pilots who flew them in, used its night vision technology. In 2009, the company announced it had signed an $11.4 million dollar contract with the U.S. Military to supply its special operations command with night vision products.

U.S. Army awards ITT $153 million night vision order ROANOKE, Va., September 24, 2008 – ITT Corporation (NYSE: ITT) today announced that its Night Vision business was awarded an order from the U.S. Army Research, Development & Engineering Command Acquisition Center for the AN/PVS-14 night vision monocular. This order for ITT’s most versatile night vision unit is valued at $153 million and is the latest under the Omnibus VII contract awarded by the U.S. Army in September 2005.

U.S. Army awards ITT follow-on order for Enhanced Night Vision Goggle ROANOKE, Va., July 10, 2008 – The Research, Development and Engineering Command Acquisition Center (RDECOMAC), Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., has awarded ITT Corporation (NYSE:ITT) a $24.4 million follow-on order for the Enhanced Night Vision Goggle (ENVG), or the AN/PSQ-20. The ENVG is the first helmet-mounted night vision monocular to combine the strengths of both image intensification (I2) and infrared (IR, or thermal) technologies into one device. Following a rigorous qualification process, the Army’s first unit equipped with ENVG was introduced in April.

ITT awarded 100 percent of Majorbus Aviation Order for Night Vision Tubes
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. March 19, 2008 - ITT Corporation (NYSE:ITT) today announced that its night vision division was awarded a $5.5 million Majorbus order from the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command (CECOM) Acquisition Center in Fort Monmouth, N.J. ITT was awarded 100 percent of the order for aviation image tubes, which is the heart of the night vision goggle. The order will provide replacement spares in support of the military's reset initiative to repair and refurbish all battle-worn equipment.
